US election: Biden leads Georgia after Trump

The counting of votes for the US presidential election is underway. Democratic nominee Joe Biden, meanwhile, has been pushing back in Georgia, overturning Republican Donald Trump.

According to the New York Times, Biden received 2,449,371 votes in the state so far. Similarly, Trump received 2.4 million 48 thousand 454 votes. Earlier, Trump had been taking the lead in the state.

A victory in Georgia would be enough for Biden to be elected president. Trump won the 2016 election in Georgia. The winning candidate in this state will get 16 electoral votes.
