Sandeep Lamichhane did not get a chance till the IPL 2020 final
Former champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will battle it out for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday.
In the final, Delhi won the toss and elected to bat first. Nepali young leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, on the other hand, could not play any game till Delhi reached the final. So far, Sandeep has watched a total of 16 games from Delhi, including 12 in the league and two in the playoffs. Sandeep will remain on the bench in the 17th match of the final, i.e. Delhi.
Playing 11, which defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier, has been given continuity by Delhi in the final.
The four-time champions Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have made modest changes to their squad. Jayant Yadav has replaced spinner Rahul Chahar in the final. Mumbai, who have reached the final for the sixth time, is preparing to win the title for the fifth time.
Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma is playing his 200th game in the IPL on Tuesday. He is becoming the second player to play in the 200th IPL. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has achieved this feat. Dhoni has played 204 games.
