“नेपाली भनेका नेपाली नै हुन । कुनै अर्को जलप लगाएर हुदैन भन्ने अपार राष्ट्रभक्तिले ओत प्रोत भएर बडामहाराजाधिराजबाट नेपाल राष्ट्र निर्माणमा आफ्नो पुरै जीवन समर्पण गरिबक्सेको तथ्य स्मरण मात्र हुँदा पनि हामी सबै नेपाली गौरवान्वित हुने गर्दछौ । यो समयमा हामी देश कसरी जोगाउन सकिएला भन्ने चिन्ताग्रस्त अवस्थामा छौं । नेपालको निर्माणमा हरेक जातीय, भाषिक र सांस्कृतिक समुदायका आ(आफ्नै विशिष्ठ योगदान छन् । हाम्रा निम्ति देश र जनताको हित नै सर्वोपरि रहंदै आएको छ । हाम्रो विचारमा राजनीति भन्नु नै देश सेवाको उच्चतम साधन हो ।

What did Prithvi Narayan Shah do?

Prithvi Nārāyaṇ Shah, (born 1723? —died 1775), member of the ruling Shah family of the Gurkha (Gorkha) principality, Nepal, who conquered the three Malla kingdoms of Kāthmāndu, Pātan, and Bhādgaon in 1769 and consolidated them to found the modern state of Nepal. He also established the capital of Nepal at Kāthmāndu.

When did Prithvi Narayan Shah conquer Kathmandu?

Prithvi Narayan Shah captures Kathmandu on (September 25. 1768) was dramatic. As the people of Kathmandu were celebrating the festival of Indra Jatra, Prithvi Narayan Shah and his men marched into the city.
