Juventus fail to beat Crotone but all eyes on the ref

Juventus fail to beat Crotone: Defending champions Juventus have been held to a draw by Crotone in Italian Serie A. Juventus drew 1-1 with Croton at home.

Juventus were left behind in the 12th minute of Saturday night’s game in Croton by star forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Simi scored from the penalty spot to give the home side a 1-0 lead.

The referee awarded a penalty to Croton after Leonardo Bonucci fought Arcadius Rica in the penalty box for a counter-attack. Alvaro Morata scored in the 21st minute to make it 1-1.

He managed to score on a pass from Federico Chiesa. In the 44th minute, Salvatore Molina’s shot hit the post and Fakida Croton wasted the opportunity to take the lead again.

In the 60th minute, Juventus was limited to 10 players. After Luca Cigarini was fouled, the referee sent Federico Chiesa off the field with a straight red card. In the 62nd minute, Dijan Kukusevsky’s shot on Morata’s pass hit the post.

Alvaro Morata scored in the 77th minute but VAR was not recognized. After that, additional opportunities were created but the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

After the draw, Juventus is in the fourth position with 8 points from 4 games while Croton is in the 18th position with 1 point.
